The History Of Spyro

Insomniac is a game company that helped make Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando, Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal, and Ratchet: Deadlocked with a technology company called Sony. At ten years old, someone had a dream of making video games. He graduated college ten years later and got a job at his uncle's hospital. He wanted to do something more imaginative so he left the hospital. His mother's friend was programing at twelve years old and they found smeone who graduated the same college. They called there game company Extreme. It turned out that there was a game company called Extreme so they came up with many names. Since they were barely sleeping, they came up with Insomniac. Sony challenged them to make a childrens game series. They made Spyro. 'Spiro' is a common character name and 'pyro' is the Latin word for 'fire'. Fire is Spyro's main element of four. Fire [the weakest], ice [the second weakest], earth [the second strongest], and electricity [the strongest]. Spyro is a magic based game series and Spyro is a dragon. He is a purple dragon. He was going to be green but he'd blend in with grass. In The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, the game series is changed completely. This game and The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night were made by Chrome Studios. They bought Spyro. Spyro was bought by Activision, the creators of Call of Duty, bought Spyro and made The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon and then the Skylanders franchise. Spyro is the main character. Spyro has a photographic memory and knows Skylands more than any other Skylander. A New Beginning was the first Spyro game with an actual story. Spyro is a platform game series and The Legend of Spyro is an action/story based trilogy. Dawn of the Dragon is the first two and one player Spyro game. The elements a Skylander can be on are Magic [named after what all elements use, the strongest element, the main element, and the element that uses most magic], life, earth, water, fire, wind/air, undead [dark powers], and tech [uses no magic, uses technology]. Dragons [the main species] can use one element but the purple dragon can use several including some only they can use including convexity. This element only exists in The Legend of Spyro. In Dawn of the Dragon, it is blue instead of purple and it is called dragon fury. Convexity/dragon fury is the strongest element that is a mix of fire, ice, earth, and electricity. After Spyro made a time crystal with dragon time/time, he lost his ability to use dragon time. Dragons draw there life and manna [to use there powers] from green, red, blue, and purple gems.
